CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Construction Manager

JOB SUMMARY: KCCTech Construction Managers utilize their project management and people management skills to deliver high quality projects on time, within budget, high quality and professionalism. This includes planning the project schedule, budget, resource plan both internal and third-party vendor crews.  Effectively managing internal and customer driven processes and procedures, project quality to successful completion of wireless site development and implementation. KCCTech’s Construction Managers are responsible for managing cross functional teams (to include Customer affiliates in leasing, zoning, architecture & engineering, construction, compliance, etc.), and reporting to both Customer and KCCTech management; and for ensuring KCCTech meets Scope, Schedule, Cost and Quality metrics for the project.

 

CLASSIFICATION: This is a full-time position, Salaried and Exempt.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT KCCTECH:

  • Lead and Manage Construction Projects End-to-End from “Pre-con” to “Construction complete” phases.
  • Define project scope, schedule, budget (example: Tracking WIP over/ under updates), resources, quality, project close-out and deliverables in collaboration with customers and KCCTech management.
  • Develop full-scale construction project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate and manage safety and project expectations to frontline KCCTech Foremen, Tower Technicians, Project coordinators, other team members in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Estimate and assign the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals within budget.
  • Where required, negotiate with other construction and project managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or vendors and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project’s key milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the Field team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Field team members and vendors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any vendor field rep relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project reviews and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for 100% safety compliance, profitability & project delivery.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough understanding and experience completing new build and site modification projects for wireless sites.
  • Proven construction management skills, with sophisticated understanding of scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, and delivery management.
  • Demonstrated project expense acumen. (Knowledge of building Project budgets and postmortems to ensure construction profitability to include approved change orders)
  • Ability to charter and lead a highly interdependent team of front-line Tower crews and back office contributors (project coordinators).
  • Outstanding work ethic/ champions “no punch” delivery and quality
  • Basic computer skills, MS Office: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
  • High Level of Organization and Scheduling Abilities

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR FOR AR/AP DEPARTMENT

Financial Coordinator for AR/AP Department

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • KCCTech is looking for an experienced Financial Coordinator, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including company accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures;
  • Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management;
  • Assist management with important financial decisions;
  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business;
  • Bookkeeping company spending in Financial Management Software (QuickBooks) and Reconciliation;
  • Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets;

MARKET MANAGER

MARKET MANAGER

Construction & Field Operations Services

JOB SUMMARY: Construction Market Manager is KCCTech’s Regional business owner and thought leader for the execution of Construction Projects, including and not limited to: Macro Cell Site Builds, Micro Cells, Small Cells, DAS, Microwave, Site Decommissioning and other Government Civil Projects within a designated Region. The Market Manager will be responsible for driving customer Projects’ Delivery, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Relationship, Safety, Quality, P&L, Process Adherence and Acceptance for KCCTech’s Construction Teams.

 

CLASSIFICATION: This is a full-time position, Salaried and Exempt.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT KCCTECH:

  • Operations:
    • Manage Delivery of Construction Projects End-to-End with Major Wireless Carriers, OEMs and Service Providers.
    • Develop Innovative Solutions to challenges that develop throughout the life cycle of the programs.
    • Collaborate with peers across KCCTech’s Service departments to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Set operational and/or Project KPIs for the department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals.
    • Establish and monitor performance reporting systems.
    • Monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made.
    • Advise the management team (both Market and Executive Mgmt. on key issues and make recommendations on important business decisions, risks and threats.
  • People:
    • Develop and coach a team of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Coordinators, Supervisors, and Foreman.
    • Implement detailed training programs for best practices for Construction management and overall project execution.
    • Manage remote resources and crews with regular feedback and coaching.
    • Develop, improve and audit Safety Training Programs and Quality Programs.
  • Financial:
    • Ensure RFP/RFQ responses are bid accurately and executed profitably to pre-defined Revenue and Margin goals.
    • Understand the deliverables (by Customer), drivers and levers of an outstanding P&L, including closing out work rapidly, but with attention to
    • Ensure projects are closed with accurate COP and accepted by customers. Ensure any required financial True-up or Closeout is done with the customer in a timely manner.
  • Business Development:
    • Develop new business opportunities with new and/or existing customers working in tandem with KCCTech’s sales team and Vice President of Business Development.
    • Build relationship and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Support responses to RFPs and RFQs with substantive responses and pricing support.
    • Look for opportunities to expand to different verticals within Telecommunications Engineering and Operations.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 9 + years Wireless Industry/Telecommunications Experience
  • Technical understanding of Telecom Construction project lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization and scheduling abilities

TOWER TECHNICIAN 4 (CREW FOREMAN)

Tower Technician 4 (Crew Foreman)

JOB SUMMARY: At KCCTech, our Tower “Foremen” utilize their construction experience, crew management skills and leadership towards enforcing absolute compliance to safety, and delivering “on-time”, profitable and high quality projects. The Tower Foreman is responsible for on-site coordination of all work activities. This person performs and supervises the day-to-day telecom construction tasks in order to complete new builds, site modifications and/or equipment upgrades. This position trains, leads and guides a crew and is committed to performing all job activities in a safe and timely manner while maintaining customer specified quality standards. The Tower Technician 4/ Foreman works irregular hours, travels frequently (locally and out-of-state), and works on construction sites in various weather conditions.

CLASSIFICATION: This is a full-time position, Hourly and Non-Exempt.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT KCCTECH:

  • Assist the Construction Manager with the work outlined in the project construction drawings (CD’s) and RFDS (Customer technical diagram).
  • Adhere to and enforce company/customer safety standards and KCCTech work rules at all times.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the industry hazards
  • Lead/conduct daily/weekly safety meetings and inspections
  • Guide crew(s) through the hazard assessment process
  • Maintain an OSHA compliant work environment
  • Work with the Construction Manager to plan, schedule and prepare for projects and activities.
  • Request and order new supplies and equipment as
  • Report on project status daily (Customer and KCCTech Construction Manager)
  • Work with the Construction Manager to understand Project Budgets and Expense reporting
  • Lead and participate in the work of crews to complete civil work, tower builds and/or upgrades from raw ground to closeout documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Civil work such as excavation and “dirt” work, concrete forming and placement, rebar tying and
  • Operation of standard construction equipment such as forklifts and aerial
  • Climbing and working on communication towers for the purpose of installing, repairing or replacing structural tower components
  • Tower builds and modifications
  • Complete tower construction by installing guy wires, grounding, mounting and/or inspect structures.
  • Calculating materials quantities (i.e. concrete, sand, gravel, )
  • Material coordination/deliveries
  • Ensuring proper mixture of materials
  • Supervise and guide the crew(s).

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Prioritizing activities and delegating tasks
  • Providing on-the-job training and mentoring
  • Monitoring work quality and providing performance feedback to the Construction Manager or Market
  • Keeping KCCTech / KCN Communications crews focused and motivated
  • Leading by example (particularly with regards to Safety standards and enforcement)
  • Use transit for accurate layout and elevations of concrete footings, pads, piers and anchors. All work must be square, plumb and level, and in compliance with construction
  • Read plans and specifications, subcontractor contracts, drawings, submittals and project schedules.
  • Maintain quality construction practices and accuracy
  • Help the Construction Manager coordinate applicable inspections and testing as
  • Help the Construction Manager manage and coordinate subcontractors and
  • Document and report construction progress, including photo documentation of pre, during and post construction

  • OSHA30 Safety standards certification is preferred; KCCTECH/ KCN Communications will provide training
  • Safety Climb/Rescue trained and/or certified
  • NWSA (TT1 or TT2) Certified
  • Certified/ Qualified Rigging

WORK REQUIREMENTS

This position operates primarily in outdoor settings and is exposed to all types of weather conditions and environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subject to cold, heat, direct sunlight, dirt, hazardous mechanical/electrical equipment and wiring, underground and elevated heights, irregular or slippery surfaces, and noise exposure. JOB SUMMARY: At KCC Tech, a Tower Hand utilizes their construction and  project skills to deliver high quality projects on time, within budget, with unwavering professionalism and strict adherence to our safety guidelines. As a Tower Hand, you will be working in a crew environment assisting with structural projects, which may include: new builds, site mods, or installations on a roof top or tower. Daily activities may include on-site installation, repair, and modification. You are on the front line, playing a key role to the team, setting the pace to achieve on time delivery and quality in each project build. You will maintain knowledge in effectively utilizing tools, technology, and other resources to install mounts, grounding, cad welding, antennas and associative RF components, and/or inspecting structures in which you will be expected to follow all safety precautions set forth by Federal, State, & Company mandated regulations. the Tower Hand will also take part in training other Tower Technicians as the situation presents itself.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The WRAN & LTE Services Engineer for KCCTech, will mainly perform analysis and provide solutions to various WRAN & LTE network issues.

Specifically, the candidate will perform the following. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide consultation on technical matters related to WCDMA and LTE RAN Products.
  • Verify and analyze of Connectivity Packet Platform (CPP) Traces, System constant, Black Module and Radio Network Software.
  • Knowledge with WRAN/LTE/VoLTE architecture, call flow and signaling analysis for troubleshooting and deployment support.
  • Perform Radio Network parameter change impact analysis (cells status, alarm & crash impact)
  • Perform Radio Network fault investigation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Perform troubleshooting/analysis using Moshell, AMOS, UEH exceptions, Business Objects, ESPA and OSS for Pre and Post launch markets.
  • Perform KPI Monitoring (daily monitoring radio performance and RAN parameter).
  • Restoration & Troubleshooting alarms for LTE, AWS, PCS & GSM, Node-B/ eNodeB TX/HW using RBS Element manager and MOSHELL.
  • Execution of parameter changes and neighbor configuration change.
  • Preparation of MOP (Method of Procedures) for all RAN Activities.

 Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, plus five (5) years of experience as WRAN/ LTE/ RAN/ RF Engineer, and/or related.
